I’m Sophie, a French tattoo artist with 24 years of experience, working at Hermosa Ink Collective in Hermosa Beach, California.
I create custom tattoos for clients throughout Hermosa Beach, the South Bay, and the greater Los Angeles area, including Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, and surrounding communities.
I specialize in fine-line, geometric, sacred geometry, mandala, minimalist, spiritual, dotwork, and custom tattoos, with designs created to flow naturally with the body.

I especially love combining precise geometry with organic elements to create tattoos that feel balanced, intentional, and designed specifically for your body.
With more than two decades of tattooing experience, I also work with black and grey, realism, color, cover-ups, redesigns, and larger custom tattoo projects.
Do you create spiritual or meaningful tattoos?
Yes. Meaningful and intentional tattooing is an important part of my work.
I often create spiritual tattoos using sacred geometry, symbolism, mandalas, nature, geometric patterns, and other elements that have personal meaning for my clients.
You don’t need to arrive with a finished design. If you have an intention, story, feeling, symbol, or idea, we can work together to transform it into a custom tattoo that feels personal to you.
Do you create custom sacred geometry tattoos in Los Angeles?
Yes. Sacred geometry and geometric tattooing are some of my specialties.
I create custom geometric compositions using precise lines, patterns, mandalas, dotwork, symmetry, and organic elements.
Every design is adapted to its placement and the natural curves of your body. My goal is to create a tattoo that flows with your body rather than simply sitting on top of it.

Do you offer fine-line and minimalist tattoos?
Yes. I create fine-line and minimalist tattoos, from simple and delicate designs to more detailed compositions incorporating geometry, botanical elements, dotwork, nature, and symbolism.
For me, minimalist doesn’t have to mean generic. I focus on keeping what matters, removing what doesn’t, and creating a clean design that works beautifully on the skin and is designed with long-term aging in mind.
Do you do tattoo cover-ups or redesign existing tattoos?
Yes. I work on tattoo cover-ups, redesigns, and transformations of existing tattoos.
Depending on the original tattoo, I can explore different ways to incorporate it, cover it, rebalance it, or transform it into a completely new composition.
For more complex cover-ups, I recommend a consultation so I can see the existing tattoo, discuss your goals, and determine what is realistically possible.
Can I bring my own tattoo design?
Absolutely. You can bring your own drawing, reference images, symbols, photographs, or inspiration.
I’ll consider the size, placement, linework, composition, and level of detail to make sure your idea translates well into a tattoo and ages as well as possible.
Rather than simply copying another artist’s tattoo, I prefer collaborating with you and giving the design its own identity so we can create something personal and unique.
Do you accept walk-ins in Hermosa Beach?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome at Hermosa Ink Collective in Hermosa Beach when my schedule allows, especially for small and minimalist tattoos.
Walk-ins are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Custom fine-line, geometric, sacred geometry, cover-up, and larger tattoo projects usually require an appointment because I need time to prepare and customize the design specifically for you.
How much does a tattoo cost?
My tattoo minimum is $150.
Small and medium tattoos are priced according to the design, size, placement, level of detail, and whether the tattoo is black and grey or color.
For larger projects such as sleeves, back pieces, large geometric compositions, and multi-session tattoos, my rate is $220 per hour.
Once we discuss your idea, placement, approximate size, and design, I can provide a more accurate estimate.
Is a deposit required to book a tattoo appointment?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your tattoo appointment. Your deposit is applied toward the final cost of your tattoo.
Small tattoo: $50 deposit
Large piece or session: $100 deposit
If you need to reschedule, please give me at least 48 hours’ notice, and your deposit can be transferred to your rescheduled appointment.
What is sacred geometry in tattooing?
Sacred geometry uses geometric shapes, patterns, proportions, and forms often associated with nature, art, symbolism, and ancient traditions.
In my tattoo work, I use sacred geometry to explore ideas of balance, connection, movement, harmony, and personal meaning.
I often combine precise geometric structures with organic forms, mandalas, dotwork, botanical elements, or nature to create a tattoo that feels personal to the wearer.
Do you offer other tattoo styles besides what I see in your portfolio?
Yes. Although my portfolio focuses heavily on fine-line, geometric, sacred geometry, minimalist, spiritual, mandala, and dotwork tattoos, I have experience working in many different tattoo styles.
I can also work with realistic imagery, fine-art-inspired designs, black and grey, color, bold designs, and classic tattoo styles.
