Tattoo Aftercare Instructions
Fine Line & Geometric Tattoo Healing – Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles
Proper tattoo aftercare is essential for clean healing, vibrant ink, and long-lasting results. Whether you just got a fine line tattoo or a detailed geometric design, following the right healing process will protect your skin and preserve every detail.
First 3 Days
Wait 3 days before starting full aftercare (unless advised otherwise).
You can shower, but avoid applying soap directly on the tattoo and avoid hot water.
Keep the area clean and avoid irritation.
After Day 3
Wash your tattoo once per day for 2 days using a mild, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic soap.
Rinse with cool water and gently pat dry with clean paper towels. Do not rub the tattoo.
Moisturizing Your Tattoo
Apply a very small amount of After Inked Tattoo Lotion.
Use twice daily for 2 weeks.
Do not over-apply, as your tattoo needs to breathe during the healing process.
You can purchase After Inked directly at Hermosa Ink Collective Tattoo or find it easily on Amazon.
What to Avoid During Healing
Do not apply any additional bandage unless recommended.
Avoid sun exposure for 1 month. After healing, always apply sunscreen to protect your tattoo.
Avoid the following for at least 2 weeks:
Baths
Swimming pools
Ocean or sea water
Hot tubs
Steam rooms
Also avoid exposure to dust, sand, dirt, and animal hair to prevent irritation or infection.
Tattoo Healing Process
Do not scratch or pick at scabs.
Do not rub the tattoo.
Light peeling and itching are normal parts of the healing process.
Long-Term Tattoo Care
Keeping your tattoo looking sharp requires ongoing care.
Keep your skin hydrated to maintain clean lines and crisp details.
Protect your tattoo from sun exposure to prevent fading over time.
About Your Tattoo Experience
Every tattoo is more than ink — it’s intention, energy, and expression.
Proper aftercare helps preserve not only the design, but the meaning behind it.
